SS2023 Shanghai Fashion Week@Xintiandi was held in Taiping Lake, Xintiandi, Shanghai, from September 22th to 30th, 2022. This season was themed “元启新自然” (The Meta Opens New Nature), connecting reality with the meta world. The fashion week was an extravagant gathering of emerging Chinese young fashion designers and all fashion lovers, and the event turned Xintiandi, the fashion landmark of the metropolitan, into a pop-up live-streaming studio. The event witnessed the thriving vitality of the fashion industry in China, even during the epidemic.
This season still offered two main show spaces, Red Hall and Blue Hall, hosting 36 shows. It provided multiple runway options of U-shape, T-shape, and ultra-wide shape. Liquid Impact continued to be entrusted by the Shanghai Fashion Week Organizing Committee with the overall planning and production. In addition, the team also assisted in venue management, event safety, and show presentations. Moreover, with the brands’ trust, we were involved in the show production for a few brands. We kept close communication with brands, especially those out of Shanghai, remotely and actively, cooperated with the show directors, and finally delivered the anticipated effects.
It was the fourth year that Liquid Impact participated in the fashion week as the official production agency and on-site executor. The team constantly are faced new problems and challenges each season, either the fierce typhoon or the increased epidemic control requirements. Luckily we successfully overcome the difficulty with a professional attitude and teamwork. With support and cooperation from all partners, we completed another Fashion Week smoothly. It was also the first time in four years that the team could enjoy a rest on the National Holiday.
