Air New Zealand － Inaugural Flight Celebrations,Shanghai

Liquid Impact was selected to coordinate Air New Zealand’s inaugural Shanghai-Auckland Flight Gala Dinner. To celebrate the partnership, Liquid Impact decided to pay tribute to the natural beauty and rich cultural heritages of China and New Zealand. Careful attention was paid to every aspect of the event. Everything from the decorations, table settings, catering, entertainment, and music – contributed towards the creation of a truly transformative environment. The moment guests entered, they embarked on an unforgettable sensory experience. Their journey began with a stroll through a network of glowworm-lit caves, designed to replicate the Waitomo Caves, a famous New Zealand landmark. It continued through dinner, where guests dined on food and drinks that combined elements from both New Zealand and Chinese cuisine. To top off the evening, a troupe of renowned Shaolin monks collaborated with New Zealand’s Kapa Haka traditional dance troupe to perform a specially choreographed piece. Each guest left with a custom piece of green jade – a popular symbol of good fortune in China and an object of deep spiritual significance to New Zealand’s Maori.
