In 2017, AD China released it’s 3rd “AD 100” list. Since its inception, in 2013, it has consistently gathered hundreds of architects, designers, and artists in celebration of the industry’s best and brightest. Liquid Impact has been chosen each time to design, manage, and execute this important event. The event was held at the Fosun Art Foundation, which sits along the south Bund in Shanghai, an area renowned for its architecture. Inspired by cosmopolitan skylines, we designed a video installation to show AD 100 listed projects. The environment design was modern and minimal to best expose the beauty of the venue. The interactive video performance was choreographed to highlight the relationship between people, nature and architecture. A forum focusing on the concept of “Chinese New Vision” was also held in the morning in the same venue. It was hosted by Wang Xu, Chief Editor of AD China with keynote speakers Tony Chi, the founder of toychi Studio, and other VIPs.
