Liquid Impact, in co-operation with GSMA and Team Of Shanghai (TOS) were contracted by GSMA to organize and produce a drone racing tournament.
We invited 48 world renowned pilots from over 13 different countries, including the winner of 2016 Dubai Championship, Luke Bannister to compete to win the tournament.
We created a futuristic course of neon LED lighting, bringing the thrill of the speed and danger of crashing drones close to the audience.
This drew in huge crowds everyday, bringing a sense of awe and curiosity at a rapidly popularizing sport. Audience cheered for their favored pilots, as each pilot won or lost by the narrowest of margins, at breakneck speeds.
